How To File a Complaint on a Harassing CallerWed, Feb 11th 2009
How many times have you received an unwanted phone call from a telemarketer, harassing caller, or debt collector. Have they called repeatedly? Or have you entered your name on the FCC's do not call list but you're still getting called? Its truly key that your name is entered in the FCC's do not call list first. Many times harassing callers call from unknown numbers or private phone numbers which make it more difficult. Follow these easy steps to file a complaint on this caller. 1) Ensure your name is on the FCC's do not call list: link here 2) File a public complaint on the Caller. Use this reverse phone directory. Complaints filed with the FCC aren't public, so you can't lookup information on these callers. The FCC's information is only used for punishing telemarketers if there are sufficient data to prove they're calling people on the do not call list. Placing a public, internet complaint is one more step in the fight against telemarketers and harassing callers. 3) File a private complaint on the caller with the FCC. link here. Comments
