How To File a Complaint on a Harassing Caller

Ok, why do we bother putting our number on a "DO NOT CALL" list if they don't do anything about it???? I've been on there now for over a couple of years yet these calls continue!!! I've gotten calls from phishing companies, debt collectors (I owe NO outstanding debt) and I'm FED UP!! Unless you've formally complained to the company itself (I do NOT want to talk to these people because when you do, all they do is CONTINUE to harass you!!), you can't file a complaint with the FCC or your State Attorney's Office and it's time consuming to do that! ARGH!!!!!

I am getting a call from 1-800-634-7099. It rings I say hello hello but nobody answer and after about 1 minute hangs up. Can,t find this number on Reverse lookup.

This is obviously a phishing scam. They claimed to be US Bank and definately are not. They are requesting birthdates, phone numbers, etc. DO NOT GIVE IT TO THEM. I called the real US Bank and they do not use this number. I filed a complaint today with the FCC and the Do-Not-Call registry. I hope they prosecute whoever this is!!!

SPRINT Telemarketing division sends out multiple robot calls to you during your evening hours just to prove to everyone that SPRINT truly sucks and hates their customers (as well as non customers). 602-792-6083 This man called my home asking for someone else, I told him "I think you have the wrong number:" and in its place he INSULTS me and hangs up!

The Do Not Call registry just logs the complaints (I made a complaint today). They don't (can't) take any legal action. They make the complaints available to law enforcement if requested.

Everyday I keep getting calls from this "Education Awaits" phone number. Almost 9 times out of ten, I pick up, say hello, and then "they" hang up on me. This is really irritating. If anyone's familiar with the number 914-339-5531, report it to the FCC. Hopefully, they'll take action because I am sick and tired of these a**holes calling my house!!!

I am so sick of these people! I have told these idiots that I am on the federal do not call list and if they keep it up I am going to file phone harassment complaints with anyone I can think of. No response but a hang up. But today, took the cake, four times they ring my house in a row in the space of only seconds between. Arrgh! I wish there was some way to block these jerks. Who knows what they are up to? Something tells me I don't want to know, could be some crazy stalker, psycho person. How do I know?

I am getting calls and finally signed up with the Do not call registry. I do not know how much it will help but the same companies keep calling and even waking up my children. Even after months and months of telling these people that I am not interested and that I will file a complaint, they still call. Dish Network has called me so many times and one day they called me 14 times and I told the man that it was getting out of hand and he called us back and kept talking. Something needs done about these companies.

I received phone calls more than several times every 10 minutes or so to my cell phone on April 16, 2009 from a phone number, 760-460-6120. Finally I called back to this number on April 16 after I got calls several times, and a guy answered my call and told me that he dialed a wrong number, but he mentioned that he meant to call his friend. I thought that the guy's explanation was odd because he must have listened to my message, so he knew that he did not know me. However, I decided to ignore the guy and told hime that not to call me any more. On April 30, two weeks later I received a call from the same phone number again. I called back the number and asked the guy what is his intention to me. This guy is psycho. The guy says nothing, but always repeated, "Calm down." both on April 16 and 30 when I asked him not to call me any more. I have no idea how this guy got my cell number. I looked up the area code, 760, and says El Centro, CA, where I've never been there and even do not know the location of El Centro. I live in Los Angeles. I wanted to go to the Police, but instead I changed my phone number yesterday. I realized that there are crazy people everywhere whose bahavior is ununderstanderble.

every night at the same time our telephone rings -- 10:20 p.m. You can set your clock to it. the phone rings 1/2 ring and then stops -- too short to get anything on the caller id. Most nights we are still up -- but on other days when work shifts change this can be annoying as we are already in bed. the telephone company tells us to use call block -- this doesn't work as the phone number doesn't come through to block. If we use the *57 it only works on the last call that was successfully answered. If we happen to be on the internet at that time -- we have high speed dsl we even get knocked off of the internet. Any ideas or suggestions -- this has been going on since Jan 1, 2009. getting very tired of this.

I did the DO NOT CALL REGISTERY... BUT... can not make a complaint for 30 DAYS!!!... and then what will they do???

I keep getting the same call 5 or 6 times a day. I am on the do not call list.

I have been receiving about 3 or 4 calls from 1-866-944-8519 at last three times a day I am getting really sick of it the name that they are looking for is hunter and that is not me when I did answer it they would not tell me who they were
