I received a call today on my cell phone which was an automated message indicating my Debit Card had been deactivated for ATM due to compromised security. It when on to say if I want to re-activate my card, dial "1". It then asks for my 16-digit Debit Card Acct# to activate. Suspecting something was odd, I simply hung up. I googled the Caller ID & found multiple hits indicating this indeed was a scam to get my account.

This is a TOTAL a "phishing" scam. Don't fall for it no matter how "legit" they sound or whatever threats they make...Report them immediately and inform them (if you speak with someone) that the call is beming monitored, recorded, and the authorities have been called..

I just received a call from this number as well!! It was an automated message (one of those stuttering, cumputerized sounding ones) saying that "your visa debit card has been deactivated for security". In dealing with my bank over the years....I know that they don't have an "automated message" (not to mention one that sounds like a computer form the early 1980s) when dealing with security issues. I DEFINITELY did not go through the process, I just hung up. My boyfriend also got the same call from the same # with the same "security issue" and he banks at a local CU...they would have called him personally. I called my bank and all is fine with my card. It is a "phishing" scam. Don't fall for it.

Just got a call from this number. The caller said my name, but then the call was terminated. I searched the web for this number and found several sites that report this number is linked to scams. I just had a bogus charge on my debit card, so I am very nervous about this sort of thing.

this is a number that the online voip skype program uses. it is a number that sometimes will show up instead of unknown or restricted. so you most likely have someone trying to call you or offer services using skype. found this out cuz the only call my GF had last night was from me to her cell phone using skype. this is the number that came up. when you try and call back it just gives you the message from the operator.

I received a call from this number. Didn't recognize it, so I didn't answer. They didn't leave a message. When I called back, an automated operator said it was a non-working number. Very suspicious.

Calls my cell phone almost daily and never leaves a message. Unable to get anyone to answer when I call back.
