I received a phone call from this # on my cell phone. No message left.

I have been reading this and everyone is saying that they hang up and don't say anything.. I WOULD LOVE THAT!! i have this number calling me 20 times a day and having some girl yell at me for stealing her "MAN". and calling me Bitch and etc.. She sounds very uneducated! I am thinking it might be a program that allows people to use a fake number to call and harass people. I wish i can do something but i will try the 22222 or ignoring it!

I started receiving calls from this number today. I called it back immediately and got the number is no longer in service. I hope I don't get repeat calls like you guys have been receiving.

call has been coming in for a couple of days - initially got maybe 5 calls - seems computer genterated. Today, the same number has called my phone about every hour on the hour.

I got several calls from 310-429-5382 yesterday and today - every hour from about 5pm to 1am, and then again this morning at 9am. When I called the number back I got a message that it was a Verizon Wireless number that was not in service, error message "2 switch 2-32" - Calls to the FCC are great and all, but this appears to be a number that was pirated from Verizon Wireless. I called Verizon Wireless customer service and explained the situation - I asked them to have their NOC look into it (Network Operations Center) - this is not Verizon's fault if someone hacked the number and is using it illegally. What you *should* do is call Verizon Wireless at 1-800-922-0204, keep pressing zero until you get a live person. Explain the situation and tell them the exact error message you get when you call the number back. Let them know there are online forums about this number so this is a widespread problem. They should be able to trace the number through their switch and catch any issues that are allowing someone to hack the number. I worked for a telephone company for 8 years, this is fixable but Verizon probably doesn't even know about it.

Getting the calls for the past few days all through out the day. It cant be a droid app since other boards say it's been happening since 2008. Wayyyy before droid. If Verizon said that they're lying...

Phone number call a lot all time of the day Pickup then the person hangs up

Phone calls started yesterday (03/30) at 11:53am and I've received 8 calls since then at all hours of the day and night. The earliest one was at 6:14am. Annoying! Called number back but received the same Verizon message others have posted about here.

I received a call from this number last night at 10:45pm EST and then again at 12:47am. This was very annoying. I will file a complaint with the FCC.

That same number has been calling me as well. I pick up the phone and hold the phone to loud speakers to hear the music that I'm listening to and they hang up after 5 sec. This is annoying and they better leave me the "f" alone!!! I tried to call back and it was a disconnected Verizon Wireless cell phone number.

Wanted to give a little insite on why and how you this bogus number along with others show up on your caller ID. What is happening is that telemarketing type compaines are finding unused or disconnected cell phone numbers from any carrier and inputting the number into their caller ID routing system. So when they call you, the disconnected number shows up on your caller id instead of their actual ID. This all started bcause of the Do Not Call List. This is very hard to stop unless the carrier can catch the trace right when it happens. My best suggestion for the time being is to have the number blocked. I called VZW and they were able to block the number for no charge on my vell. I am not sure what the other carriers will do or charge you for blocking numbers. Good luck to all.

Called 12 times in one day, early morning 8am to midnight. Calls need to stop.

The number has called my land line phone for weeks now. Everytime this number appears on my caller ID, the phone rings once then stops. Caller ID says it's a California call. Tried calling back and a recording comes on and says the number has been disconnected. They call everyday at various times. The latest they've called was 11:30 PM.

Hung up when I answered. Did a google search on the number and a lot of people complained about the number.

All right folks, lots of posts on this. A solution if your phone provider is unwilling/able to help would be to store the problem number in your cell phone as a contact and customize the ringer to be "Silent". On some phones you may have to record a moment of silence and save it as a ringtone first. Good luck! Seems like it may be an accidental computer dialer issue, as it's not likely to benefit the caller, nor hurt the receiver beyond an annoyance and a minute or two of cell phone time. Maybe channel some of that energy trying to fight it into something positive to help counterbalance the pains in the butts in this world! Good Luck!

I got a phone call from #310-429-5382 on my cell phone and when I answer - ther is no one there. I am listed on the DNS.

I have had 15 phone calls today alone from this number! starting early this morning and it is now 10:20 pm! I have no idea who this is I tried calling it back and it says the number is disconnected. I am tired of it !!!!

Calls many times per day, many days in a row, for weeks now. If you have the exact identity, I'll be making numerous passes at the local regulating officials since we're on every do-not-call that exists. These are clearly harassing phone calls.

This number has called my husband for almost a week now. They never say anything,never leave a voice mail, and when we try and call the number back,we get the same recording as everyone else gets stating the number has been changed or is not in service. Received a call from 310-429-5382 in the middle of the afternoon. When I tried calling back I got the same standard message that it seems everyone else is getting about it being a disconnected number. I was shocked when I searched for the number online and found this forum.

Our office has been receiving hang-up calls from 310-429-5382 several times a day. Its odd that, since we stopped receiving hang-up calls from other telephone numbers, now we are receiving those calls from a different number (so far this year, this is the only number). I don't understand the purpose when they hang up as soon as I answer, but sometimes other people are trying to call in at the same time on legitimate calls, so it is disruptive to business.

I kept receiving calls all day on Christmas day from some weirdo with the phone number 3104295382. I didn't answer the calls the first three or four times because I live in Chicago and don't know anyone with the area code 310. Area code 310 is in Santa Monica, CA. I finally answered on the fourth or fifth time this guy called me and no one said anything on the other line. There was complete silence on the other end. I called back and a machine came on saying this Verizon number is disconnected or is not in service. That person was trying to ruin my on day. It was Christmas!

I have been getting calls all day from this number. i havent answered and they havent left a message. i was on another website trying to get info about this caller and one of the poster had paid the $15 to get the callers info. The same as everyone else. Just called my carrier and they said all I could do was to change my phone number which I have had for the last 5 years. Still up in the air on whether to do that or not. These calls started 2 days ago and I have recieved over 30 calls so far from this number. I've never answered it since i never answer unrecognized numbers (they can leave me a message -which this number never does) also for fear of it possibly being some sort of VoIP call the phone rings only 2 or 3 times before disconnecting. for now I've saved the number as Major D***head and programmed a silent ring to it so it's not quite as annoying.

This number has called every hour since 1030 a.m. CST. I answered it, but no one was on the line. They have called every hour or so since then. I stopped answering the calls, and hung up on them also, w/out my saying anything. One of the calls went to my voice mail, there was nothing on the voice mail. This is odd. This is very, very odd. Most of the reports I have seen are people saying they call and then hang up, without saying anything. Some reports say they are from a bunch of professional extortionists, er, sorry, bill collectors, called Tide Warner. Try looking up Tide Warner on the internet: there are no listings at all. Only a few mentions from people receiving calls from that 310 number. Where are the laws to protect us? Or do we just have to accept the idea that simply because someone claims we owe money, we forfeit all of our rights? I contacted my state attorney general, both in an online form and by email, I contacted the FCC, I contacted Verizon Wireless. If all of us get together and contact these people EVERY time we receive one of these calls (which could mean sending severl emails per day) something eventually will be done. This is harassment, plain and simple, and in a just society it should be illegal.

Just got this brand new number and immediately started getting calls from Tide Warner (Austin, Texas??) many time a day trying to collect a debt from someone named Sarah that had this number previously. They call at hours of the day and early morning and late night (4 AM). After a week of hundreds of their harassing calls, I contacted a lawyer and advised Tide Warner of this, and of my tracking of their numerous daily calls. On the very next day after I disclosed this and that I was on the "Do Not Call" list, I immediately stopped getting calls from the Tide Warner 800 number and immediatelty started getting calls from 310-429-5382 many times daily. If I answer they hang up immediately and when I don't answer, they leave no message. Tide Warner is very, very aggressive and does not care if you are their debtor or not. They call at all hours and continue, even after receiving notice that you are not the party that they are trying to reach!! When you get a lawyer involved, the 310-429-5382 calls start!!!!!!!!!

I keep getting this call for the past 1 week everyday 6-8 times, late in the evening at 11.30pm and its extremely annoying. My phone provider says I need to change my number to avoid this. This is getting insane. Something needs to be done to fix this. My be verizon wireless is responsible for this?

This number calls several times a day. Not only my cell but all four of the cell phones on my plan. I am sick of it. What can we do to get him to leave my teen daughters alone? this number just called aroung 545 central time.. they didnt leave a message, and when I called it back the voice recording says this is a number that has either been changed or disconnected... this type of harrasment needs to stop. I have the same problem. When I answer it hangs up right away. If I try to call back I get a message that says the # is no longer in service. This # has called me 17 times in the past 24 hours. It calls about once every hour starting at 7 and sending at 7.

Has to be some kind of automated dialer as I'm getting called at least once an hour, every hour from 9 in the morning until 8 or 9 at night. Receive call no less than 5 times a day. AT&T wants to charge to block this #. Eats up the minutes on shared plan and when those go AT&T begins charging .45 a minute for overages. After reading all the complaints it looks like a computer has hacked into cell phone records and randomly dialing all #'s all hours of the day. FCC apparently hasn't experienced this so maybe we should find their number and transfer the call to them and get them on the "harassing call" list.

Caller ID says: 1-310-429-5382 SANTA MONICA, CA (Though ATT says it's a Verizon number out of Maryland) I have been getting these calls 24 hours/day every hour on the hour for over a week now, and it is on my fax line. The call disconnects after the two ring tones and the fax begins. I thought once it heard the fax going, that would take care of it, but it didn't. I also tried what someone else suggested. Received 4 calls this AM so far, when I called back I received a fast busy which usually means unable to complete call as dialed, no such number or phone system trouble. Most likely the number on the caller ID is boggess, These scammers must be stopped for every ones sanity.Harsh prosecution is the only cure

I did not answer the phone because I was on the phone and it came through my call waiting, it came to my landline and all the ID said was the number. I do not even answer calls I do not recognize anymore as I have heard of so many scams, and lately my phone bill has had weird charges on it I had to dispute. Watch your phone bills, I have AT&T and in the last 4 months have had charges from something called Talent and More LLC (29.95) and some Internet security website,(14.95). I only caught these because my bills were suddenly higher than normal, these were things I never authorized AND I was going to be charged monthly for these Miscellaneous services. I finally signed up for a Spamming and Cramming (I think that is what it is called) protection which was free through AT&T so hopefully that will not happen again.

I keep getting calls from this number on my T-Mobile prepaid. I got other calls like this and had to change my phone number. I changed my number and now I'm getting this... I have switched over to Virgin Mobile prepaid. I was with them before and NEVER got a junk call. Cross your fingers I have that luck again.

In summary: No one knows who or what these folks are up to although it is likely they have something to do with Debt Collectors or telemarketing. The FCC and phone companies have been of no help. Do not call the number back. Probably the only way to stop them is get call blocking and block the number or change your phone number. I just added blocking and am enjoying my first day of quiet.

Been getting calls from this number now for a couple weeks on my Vonage phone. All times of day and evenings. Luckily, none (so far) in the middle of the night. Googled the number and found numerous sites with forums similar to this site. Looks like its been going on for a couple years now.

The phone calls from this number are endless. I just received a call at 11:45pm.I called it back and received a message that the number either doesn't exist, has been disconnected or changed.

This caller starts around 6:30am and stops about 12:45am everyday. It is a five or six time a day nonsense call .. no one ever there. I know it is against the law to start making phonecalls and to continue to make them past 9pm. Something needs to be done about this.. to have to jump out of bed to answer the phone is a bit unnerving at those wee-hours of the morning; always thinking the worse when the phone rings at that time of night.

Someone from this number - or some computer called my cellphone more than 10 times in one day. I use a go phone, and the caller stays on the line at least once a day long enough to fill seconds of blank messaging on my phone, to generate the $1.00 per day of use charge. I'm wondering if it isn't a program somebody runs for AT&T, in order to cost go phone customers when they don't even use their phone that day.
