Get repeated calls from 866-407-5549. Told them to quit calling. This is a work phone. But they just keep calling.

They call and call and call sometimes 20x a day. We've talked with them they are RUDE and HARRASSING. It is the WalMart Gift Card thing, they have the last 4 digits of a credit card I haven't had in years. I WANT THIS TO STOP!

They call my buisness everyday!!!! and they say they have no list,my name will always be there and they said they wont stop calling!!! what kind of crap is that!!!! what can i do?

These idiots call twice a day, everyday. They have my boyfriend's mom's name and my number for some reward program somehow linked to Walmart. As everyone else is experiencing there is no way to get rid of these people! I have tried for months!! And the guy just yelled at me....saying he hadn't ever called me personally. That sent me off the deep end! To which he replied "lady just take the gift and we will leave you alone". I responded by screaming one more time and hanging up. Most of the time I don't answer, but I have decided these morons provide me with an outlet for anger when I am having a bad day!!

Called my cell phone, I didn't answer because I don't answer calls from people I don't know. When I searched through my cell phone for numbers that have called me to see if this number had called before I found 2 very simular numbers from April 3rd and 4th of 2009. Those numbers were: 866-407-5962 (on the 4th of April) and 866-407-4275 (on the 3rd of April) My number has been on the DNC list since April 22, 2009 and have not received anymore calls until now with the new number of 866-407-5549. I guess it's foolish to expect no calls when you're on the DNC list. I did go to the place mentioned in earlier posts and filed a complaint on this number( https://esupport.fcc.gov/form1088/1088gform.do ). I will do so again if I receive another call.

I received the first call 7/23/09 and was told it was regarding my card ####, I said ok? he then hung up. I will be cancelling this card and protecting myself in that way. There is no stopping these calls. I try and save each number and name them so I know not to answer.

They call me twice a day, EVERYDAY. One guy got very ugly with me when I asked to be removed from their list. He said, "no we're going to call you until you take our rewards and learn how accept free s##t." I then got very mad and demanded to speak to a supervisor. He said have a nice day in a very rude tone and then hung up on me. you can't call back either.

They've been calling me continually, also. It is a result of my buying a Snuggee. I sure wish I had never made that purchase!! They must have sold my cell phone number to plenty of places, because this isn't the only junk call I've received.

I keep getting these calls, usually 2-3 times daily at work. I've told them each and everytime that I'm not interested, but they never learn. There's such a thing as harassment. I have notified our Telecom Department about this. It should be noted that they never sent me the gifts they promised.

I recvd a call from Corey offering me a $100 Walmart gift card for using my Mastercard and gave the last 4 digits. He then asked if my addres was still so and so street. He said all I had to do was look at some information and if I wasn't interested that was fine, the gift card was still mine to keep. I asked how much and he said $4.99. I told him I was not interested and he hung up. I immediately tried calling the # back and it's constantly busy. I did a search for the ph# online and found out I'm not alone. I'm also receiving calls from variations of this # but not answering. The calls come to my work # of all places. I believe when I ordered the Snuggy they sold my information. I have emailed others to beware of this !

This person called me at WORK telling me it was about my Visa card and he also gave me the last four digits of my number which kept me on the line..he then went on to say they want to send me a $200 gas card and something else at which point I didn't listen any further; I told him I didn't want something I didn't understand and he said "well, you can read can't you". I told him not to call me at work and he laughed and hung up on me. This needs to be reported to BBB which I am going to do.

number calls many times a week, some times more than once a day, doesnt ring long enough for me to answer or hangs up when i do. rings busy every time i try to call back!

They clam to be from Visa (or whatever bank/cedit-card/atm card they know you use)and want to thank you for using your card, I reported this to my cedit card company and filed a complaint, and they also have my mailing address and my cedit card number, so I canceled my card after one of the companies charged me 7.95. It's complete bulls****

Good luck everyone. I got a new phone from Verizon wireless and I continually get calls from a suite of related numbers: 866-407-5549, 866-407-6264, 866-407-7982, 866-407-4275, 866-875-8720. I rarely answer them, but it is annoying. Fortunately, you can use Verizon spam controls to block the numbers. The downside is that you can only block five numbers and these people (whoever they are) seem to have many.

I have expressly said do not call and take this number off your list and the calls stopped for about 2 weeks. Now they have started up again. I am on the do not call list, and yet they still call. I wish to prosecute in class action if they do not stop.

Was getting called twice a day on my cell phone by this number and by 866-407-4275. They seem to have given up after 2 weeks and 2 days of my not answering them. If they haven't decided to try again within a couple of months, I'll assume I'm in the clear. I also registered my cell with DNC, but I'm not sure if that helped. Also been checking my credit account online regularly. Haven't had any unusual charges show up, but have read on other sites of people being charged by "One Call MD" and "ID Watchdog".

platinum rewards - calls 1-3 times per DAY. Half the time hangs up, half the time someone answers. They offer gift cards and magazines, for which you pay for :) how nice... DONT say a word to them... Dont agree to anything, dont 'yes' randomly... You may 'mess' with them like i do, i just ask them dumbest questions (that is if i have time) about their product and than throw in 'how do you sleep at night?' kinda deal... They hang up all the time.

Receive phone calls at least twice a day from 503-407-5549. I actually talked to them the first time they called and refused any offers or "deals" they had for me. I told them I was not interested in anything they had to offer...they hung up on me. Now...they continue to call and nobody is on the line. I cannot call the number back...rings twice then I get a busy signal. I work with the police department and am going to file a formal harassment case and see where that takes it.

Exactly! Over the past week I've done EVERYTHING in the world to rid myself of this annoyance. Nothing is working. As soon as I registered on the do not call website.... they started calling from a different number. And I'm only allowed to block one number to my cell. So, nothing is working. The last person who commented is absolutely right... there is NOTHING that can be done about this. Just pay attention to your bank statements, cc bills, and phone bills..... report the matters as you would normally.... and that's it. It's about all we can do at this point.

Okay guys.... after doing a lot of research on this number and these companies I've found that it's the same thing. There are TONS of complaints on the internet about this company. They often use other numbers and names such as "HomeValue" instead of Homeplay... but it's the same people. I've contacted my bank and put a stop to the debits and I've contacted my cell company and put a block on my phone. I also just registered with Do Not Call.gov, it's a national thing and once you register your phone numbers it is ILLEGAL for them to call you back. All you have to do is make a complaint on their website. The drawback to all this.... I had to change my cell phone number and frankly, I don't know how much weight there is to "illegal" when it comes to scammers. Sucks, I know... but I'm sick of this crap! It's a freakin scam and they've successfully taken at least $200 from me since December of 08. Here's the kicker to all of this.... they got my information (debit card #'s, birthday, address, etc.) because it was sold to them by another company. A LEGITIMATE company SOLD my information to them. They sell exercise equipment like the "As Seen on TV" stuff. Stay away from the makers of "Swivel Sweeper" and "Iron Gym" and/or anything remotely related. It was the Iron Gym people that sold my information to them!

I have a little info to share with you all about this number. I've been receiving calls from this number for about three months. They call numerous times during the day and always hang up before the first ring finishes. When I call the number back, it gives me a busy signal. It's mostly the same as what it happening to all of you. It occurred to me after reading all this that I'd noticed a suspicious debit payment (comes out every month) on my bank statement. I noticed it several months ago and contacted my bank. They haven't been able to make heads or tails of it. The two companies pulling the money out.... DON'T EXIST! They're called "Budget Savers Monthy" and "Homeplay". The reason that I'm connecting these two issues is because someone above me posted about calling this number back the person saying that they'd won a $100 gift card from Wal-Mart. That is the same exact phone call that I received. They had all of my personal information, including my debit card number. Exactly two weeks later was when the first bank draft appeared on my account. I'm absolutely certain that this number is connected to these companies. In fact, right now I'm going through my cell phone records to try and find the number that called me that night. I'll post again if I find out for sure. Hope this helps you guys because I am as frustrated as you are! It's getting on my nerves AND eating up my cell minutes.

They say they cannot do anything about it. What can they do then? What are they there for if not to stop problems like this. What a joke. Why do they keep calling me anyway? I actually work for a debt collector and get the same treatment on my work phone... I've told 5 different people that i've actually been able to talk to put me on the do not call list.. I've received these calls for 3 years at my job and there is nothing you can do... At first they asked for a Mellissa Tripp...I also asked how in the world are they in business if all they do is hang up on people. If you pick the phone up very quickly before the first ring ends you may get a person to actually talk to you.. then once you start talking they hang up.. The last person that spoke to me was some Arabian guy who actually called asking for my name saying how my credit is good and he wants to give me a better interest rate.. I told him I pay my card off every month so my interest rate is zero... If he calls again I'm contacting the FBI to investigate...The name of the company is Platinum rewards.

I keep getting calls from this number about credit card rewards. They called me a few months ago and I was very suspicious because they quoted the last 4 digits of my card number. I called my bank and they advised they were not making the calls. So the next time they called I told them to take me off their list, and the guy just hung up on me. So here they are again calling. Once I said I wasn't home and could I take a message, and again I was hung up on. Today I told the girl stop calling me and again I was hung up on. How the heck do I get these people to stop harassing me?

Blame your senators and congressmen/women. These people have made sure the telemarketing lobby gets away withis by providing loopholes to any legislation that will make them stop. The Do not call list is a joke, and phone companies are involved too - they make good business selling 800/866/877 deals to these fly-by-night companies. BTW- your credit card company sells your information to anyone who whats to buy. Household Bank is one of them. I just paid off the balance, and then I 'm going to close the account. I never pick up when these companies call. You do that for a week or two, then the stop. Bottomline, if you don't know who is calling, let the answering machine pick up.
