First off, I am merely REPORTING below, the vulgar language they have criminally used on me and my friend over the phone.... both times it was a FEMALE who used this language, but I do not know if it was the same female, I doubit it since my friends area code is 200 miles from mine. This appears to be an ORGANIZED RUSSIAN (woman's accent) CRIMINALS stealing CC and phone, and identities. Why Law Enforcement hasn't shut them down is beyond me. From what we have been able to correlate, it is whenever you use your Credit Card, as we did at certain store chains - these people end up with your information including telephone numbers that the stores take from you as part of their frequent buyer programs, which they call you on, and tell you have won something, and give the last 4 digits of your CC, and try to force you to buy something. In his case the digits were wrong so they were fishing. WHEN YOU REFUSE TO PARTICIPATE THEY USE VULGARITY AND 4 LETTER WORDS TO YOU. They've called me a "STUPID C#$T" and hung up, and today they called my friend a "DICK" and hung up. THEY ARE ALSO CALLING KIDS UNDER 18 IN THESE SCAMS. The Internet is LITTERED with complaints about this.

They called and once accually spoke to them. Tried to offer some coupons and gift cards. When I tried to call them back the number was busy and it does not seem as it is any existing number. Regret I spoke to them.

I have been getting calls from phone number 877-850-7458 for about two weeks now. They call once or twice a day. The same exact woman is always on the phone and she asks for someone by the name of Ben Fry...I am not Ben Fry so I told her there was no one by that name at this number. She asked me if I was residing in Mexico and I told her no. She asked me what state I lived in and I told her that it was none of business. She started laughing and hung up on me. I know it's some kind of scam, luckily I do not have any credit cards but it is getting quite annoying. I have tried calling back, it rings twice and then I get a busy signal. I am on the National do not call list and have never had problems until now. I have reported this number to my local police department and I have informed a good friend of mine who is a state attorney. I am going to see if my cell phone company can block this number. Any other suggestions?

2-3 times a day this number calls my Cel phone but nobody on the line.

They call and go into a schpiel about how I've won $100 gift card for Target and more, when I start to say I'm not interested, they hang up on me. They had the last 4 digits of my VISA card so I closed that down and will get a new one. They call at least 3 times daily, I have parents that are elderly so I run to the phone (while at work)thinking it might be them and find out it's this number. I was lucky enough today to get one of these calls and the man on the other end agreed to take me off their calling list when I told him to cease calling, we'll see...

The Number calls every day. Sometimes a couple times a day. I went onto the Federal Trade Commission Site and tried to file a complaint but it said the number wasn't registered at least 30 days before the complaint. I'm getting really sick of this!

This number calls 3-4 times a day. Have not had the opportunity to talk with anyone as when I answer Iget dead air and then a hang-up. When I call bck I get a busy signal. Most annoying and probably a scam!!!

They had a credit card number of mine and said they needed me to say ok over the phone and the recording would allow them to charge my card for the shipping. Got a call from my credit card company on Friday that something called Merchant Services tried to charge one penny to my Master Card. Now, this 877-850-7458 is calling my cell phone. Scam! I find it too coincidental that the two things occurred so close together. My credit card company told me it was fraud and canceled my card. Only the first call this morning but I sure they won't go away.

Yes we also get calls from these pests every day, and like the messages above have had the same experience. I have contacted my State Attorney Generals office and hard copies of the attached notes. My State will not stand by and let this crap continue much longer.

This BIT*H called me this am and she actually was on the phone this time; after a month of three to five calls a day with hang ups on my cell phone. I immediately told them to stop calling me at once and to take me off their DAM!!!! phone list; she immediately became hostile and argumentative and when I told her to stop calling me she yelled at me that she didn't have to as SHE didn't HAVE ANYTHING better to DO but HARASS ME! This number calls and when I answer no one is ever there. Please call you local police department and repot the harassment.

Usually they don't answer. Twice, when the did, I told that person I'm on a NO CALL list and before I could tell them to be sure NOT to call again, the rudely hung up...CLICK. Then more calls...it hasn't stopped even when I told them NOT to call me!! Who do I sue?

I Googled this phone number and just like everyone is complaining about, I ask them to stop calling me. They get rude and hang up on me or ask me to call the National Do Not Call List.I have been on this list for years and have had no problems until now.They have been calling for a week now sometimes twice a day, asking to stop calling does nothing.Obviously this is happening to many people and needs to stop I hope you can help, thank you. I've been getting this phone call for 2 and a half weeks 1-2 times a day so today I finally picked up and said Hello, I got a response. The people are offering 300 dollars in free gas coupons and asked me if I was the card holder of a mastercard ending in the 4 digits he mentioned. I said Yes. He then went on and asked me if I was still receiving mail at the address he mentions, I said Yes. He then said he needed information from me. So I asked if it was a scam. He started getting all defensive "How would this be a scam" and "How would we be able to employ hundreds of people if we were a scam" after I told him how both of those things were possible, and after he seemed startled by the fact I called it a scam, I said "Well now's not a good time for me to talk I'm at work and you're cutting into my money making time. So if you would like to leave me with your home phone number I would gladly give you a call later tonight to further discuss this" he WILLINGLY gave me a phone number (which I was unable to write down at the moment and forgot unfortunately). Now if a telemarketer calls you as far as I know you can't give out your phone number to anyone. So again just furthering my suspicion on this phone call. So anyway I will see if they call back, and if so I will do the same exact thing to the next person that calls. This guy got pretty defensive and almost a little rude like he wanted to fight or something haha.

I had numerous hang ups on my voice mail and caller id from the phone number 877-850-7458. I finally talked to them personally last night and felt this was a scam. They never identified their companies name only that they were with a reward department through my credit card. They asked me to confirm my last 4 digits of my credit card no. then my home address which they already had. Then when they asked for my birth date while being recorded I said I felt like this was a scam and told them to take me off their call list. They were offering me $300 worth of free gas and a $50.00 gift card to Target for trying out a 30 day trial for some magazine, but could cancel and still get the free gifts. Something sounded fishy and too good to be true. That is why I am reporting the above phone number and definitely want this checked out so no one else could possibly get scammed. I also called this number back and get a busy signal. Thank you.

I have been getting these calls for about two weeks now. i had not answered till today. They hung up. I called the # got a busy signal. this is starting to really get on my nerves now. my caller id says toll free #. Can somebody do something.

I never answer this number: 877-850-7458, Yesterday 2/8/10 I answered for the first time I did. The caller knew my name, address, and last four digits of my card, then he proceeded in telling me how they were going to send me a $300 gift card, thats when my phone cut out, since I wasnt anwering him, he called me the B... word and hung up on me!!! I called the BofA card services to report the incident, they are aware but said they are not affiliated, and these are telemarketers. Who are these people? Report any more incidents to your credit card company and the better business beaureu.

These people keep calling me even after i tell them not to. I am getting 10 calls a day from them on my cell. It is ticking me off and eating minutes. Sometimes they will call and hang up when i answer. Other times they say they cant remove me from their system

This is such a scam... and they call several times a day, they have heavily-accented salesmen talking over what must be a room full of such callers to the point they cannot be understood! I know its a SCAM, however, as I do not have a Capital One card. However, they have my name, address, obviously my phone number, and they did have four numbers that were supposed to be from some account. These calls need to be stopped... they are costing me money.

This # belongs to Capital Rewards, seems to be some kind of a scam. After several calls and investigating, today when they called I explained all that I found and they hung up on me. My concern is they had the last four digits of my credit card. Not sure if this is the result of something I purchased in the past or if they are related somehow to Mastercard but just wanted to share what I found...
