I received a txt message from this number too. The first warning sign was an employer using a text message to contact me about a job.
It said (txt Stop to cancel). So I did and I got a message "You are now unsubscribed from Career-Network Alerts. Reply Help for help. For support call 888-753-4394.
The complete message stated: Featured: Hi (my name), call me about the Human Resources Positio Job you have applied for 8887471227

I did ask him if he could tell me where the job/position that I applied to (to see if he did know this information) and his response was "they are normally within a 25 mile distance from your home." Seems suspicious to be able to forward my info to a place of employment in which he doesn't even know the name/location.

I received a text from 888-747-1227, with (smithnoble) in brackets. About a HR position I applied for; I am glad I am smart enough to look phone numbers up before I waste my time to call back.

I received this number as part of a job application online- or so I was told. I applied for a human resources job, and was first called by another number to verify the details of my resume. That was fine, they didn't ask me for any information they didn't already have. They then told me they had submitted my application to the employer, and that from then on I'd be contacted by the employer. I was then given this number 888-747-1226. It's actually one of those fake recruiting things for matching me up for a school. I am already a junior at UNR, so it seems unlikely that there was ever a job- or that they even read my resume past the name and number. Waste of my time.
