888-888-8888 is not a specific business or person but rather an "alias" phone number sequence that an internet based call center or individual with the proper software / hardware set-up can utilize to disguise both their identity and call origin. The phone number itself could actually be any series of random numbers as these outbound calls are often made using a VOIP software application which the end user can pre-program with any caller ID number sequence they wish thus making it extremely difficult to trace their true location. Often times less than ethical callers using these tools will choose to program a phone number sequence from a legitimate business or residence to further cover their tracks. There are multiple "phishing" scams utilizing this technique promising everything from free vacations and shopping sprees to cash prizes. Many will ask for a credit card or checking account number to cover some misc fee so be on your guard. As most of these scams are located in foreign countries outside of the United States the federal “Do Not Call List” and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act are of little concern to them. Best to hang up, block the number at the handset level if your home / cell phone has the functionality or request your carrier block the number at the network level. Carriers do have the ability but you will seldom find a frontline customer service rep who will offer the service. You might have to push a little and request it directly.

Got 3 calls last night 1030pm 100am and 145am did anyone ever get an answer as to who this is and why they are allowed to continue this? I will not add the bottom info incase these people monitor this site for more info.
